DOMJÁN 115 ⎮ 30

József Domján exhibition in the Zeyk Bistro in Călugăreni

József Domján is a world-renowned master of colorful woodcuts. His worldwide reputation has been established by his unique art. In the middle of the 20th century, Domján revitalized this ancient artistic technique, originally from China. He created the colored engravings using multiple engraved blocks. Overprinting in several layers creates three-dimensional prints having the quality of a painting. The rich mythical motifs, the skill of the woodblock engraving master, the fabulous coloring lead to a captivating vision of his images.
